Very good intro to reds! One of few I enjoy — 3 months ago

Mornington Peninsula Shiraz 1998

Little red berries, graphite, macadamia, herbs, clay, white pepper. Not sweet, but not dry either.
Pleasant, complex, savoury and quite persistent flavour too just slightly too warm in the throat during the aftertaste

Special Barrel Selection Mornington Peninsula Reserve Shiraz 2007

Special barrel select. Raspberry and dark fruit with violet and cassis. Fine tannin with savoury note and a slight bitter finish. Hint if spice and lightness overall — 6 years ago

Mornington Peninsula Estate Pinot Noir 2013

Dark cherry, cloves, raspberry liquorice twists and cola. Brisk acid that cleanses the palate and pairs well with duck. — 5 years ago

Super light in colour, round in texture but fruit is light, lots of alcohol on the finish. — 6 years ago

Sparkling Shiraz 2020

Sparkling Shiraz for Christmas! Love that Australian tradition. Blended with a bit (15%) of Cabernet Sauvignon. Very dark crimson color with purple highlights. Interesting nose of plum, currant, dates, leather and coffee. Ripe dark fruit and dark baker’s chocolate fill the pallet. Touch of baking spices on the finish. Beautiful creamy mousse and a touch of RS. We enjoyed this with Holiday 2022 hors d’oeurves. — 5 months ago

Mornington Peninsula Estate Chardonnay 2005

Of around 15 or so wines tasted over the last weekend on the Mornington Peninsula Victoria, this was the standout. Mid Gold at 12 years of age. Funky leesy aromas with notes of almond meal, grilled nuts in general. On the palate stone fruit, white peach and great length and intensity. Would give most Premier Crus and the odd Grand Cru a run for their money. Tried to buy a dozen but ended up this was their last bottle at the winery. 🙁 — 6 years ago

Peninsula Shiraz 2013

Soft tannins, perfumed, not a ton of personality, but still a good cool climate syrah — 6 years ago
