Lost Blues

Lost Poet Atticus California Red Blend

Bold red blend. Lots of earth, cherry, and vanilla in the bouquet. Mildly tannic on the tongue with relatively high acid. Lingering finish with some tobacco and leather. — 13 days ago

Erdener Treppchen Riesling Spätlese 1985

A producer no longer making wine. A very special Riesling here. Lost its sweetness from its bottle age, and has now taken on savory and tropical qualities. Delicious. — 15 days ago

The Marigny Willamette Valley Pinot Noir Rosé

Worthy of a pause - could otherwise be lost in a sea of summer rose. Shy strawberry melon and pressed basil with a light salty body. — 18 days ago

Feeney Vineyard Zinfandel 2002

Delicious and rich with sweet fruity finish. Has lost most of its tannin. Very smooth and velvety.

Did not keep well for the 2nd night. Was weak and tired, and has lost a lot of the magic.

Intarsia Napa Valley Red Blend 2015

This is a nice red blend from Napa Valley. Doesn't show like one, but it is drinking very nicely now.

Was probably better a couple of years ago, but I really enjoyed the nose. A nice entry level to Napa reds.

Dry on the palate with medium plus acidity.

Showing red and black fruits with chocolates, earth, light vegetables, pencil lead, peppercorn and tobacco.

Needs 90 minutes to open up properly, but lost it pretty fast.

13.5% alcohol by volume.

89 points.
