A rush of sweet red cherry, tobacco, mint, dried flowers and cedar hits the palate as this racy, deep, beautifully proportioned Nebbiolo shows off its considerable allure. Readers will have a hard time finding a wine from any region that delivers this much pleasure and character for the money. $25.00 (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, October 2020) — 8 days ago
My first experience with this producer, and wow! White burgundy is very hit or miss for me, but this was a total hit.
In the glass, someone could have told me they poured me Kongsgaard and I’d of believed them. Deep golden color. Even aromatically and initially on the palate it was as though someone blended Kongsgaard (very Hudson like), with mersault. There is a bitter honey/truffle honey note up front alongside overripe peach, honey roasted cashews, and orange marmalade. On the palate, it’s certainly rich but not so much from oak...honeycomb, honey covered cotton candy, caramel dipped golden delicious apples, almond shavings and a kiss of lanolin on the finish. This only improved in the bottle after 2-3hrs of being open. Drinking wonderfully right now. I need to hunt down some bottles! Thanks for the heads up here, @David T . — 14 hours ago
So balanced. So pleasurable and drinkable. You will drink the whole bottle without even blinking (or thinking) Deep ruby color, pronounced aromas of blue and black fruit (blueberries, grapes, black cherries and cassis) herbal (mint, sage) and balsamic (eucalyptus) hints of oak (coffee and dark cocoa). Medium(+) body, medium acidity, medium ripe tannins and medium(+) finish. #carmenère #carmenere #chile #chileanwine — 9 days ago
Because no reason at all and we need to drink more Champagne. Bolly “special cuvée” offers a pretty great value in non-vintage from big name producers. It has that rich brioche and sea foam salinity that I love and often have to pay way more $$ for to get in Champagne. Super delicious and a great way to start a meal. — 6 days ago
Kiwi, canned pineapple, corn husks and asian pear on the nose.
Beautiful texture and balance. A richness but super bright and great lift with the acid that hits you at the mid palate and takes you through to the finish. Taste like a zesty Napoleon dessert (cream, kiwi, apricot). — 7 days ago
Celebrating Anne-Marie! Love you 😍
This wine is befitting my queen.
Almonds and citrus fruits on the nose. Palate is luscious, weighty and complex. Layers of green fruits, combine with oily mouthfeel and moderate acidity.
We need more Tor chardonnay in our cellar. — 5 days ago
