Isabella Ferdinand

Ferdinand Mayr

Grüner Veltliner

If you can get past this Nazi-infused label, there’s some joyous Grüner to be found inside. Medium-plus acid, pear and citrus. — a month ago

Premiere Napa Valley

Dalla Valle Vineyards Isabella's Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

Purchased this 5 case barrel at Premier Napa. Dalla Valle’s oldest planted Cabernet Vineyard named after the oldest daughter Isabella. I remember this being the best barrel I tasted over the 3 days at PNV showing 1st growth quality, balance & finesse. This was the 1st & only time she has ever produced this rare wine. — 10 months ago

California Albariño 2018

More depth than I expected from a Riesling. GreenMelon/citrus notes that got smoother as it warmed. Preferred it once it wasn’t as chilled. — 3 months ago

António Maçanita Isabella a Proibida 2017

Tart. Salty. Agree with the grape candy/sweet tart notes tasters mention. High acid. Isabella from Azores. Very unique. — 4 months ago

I wonder if they brought the Isabella from Brazil. It’s very common there - the most planted wine grape actually - and it’s not vinífera I don’t think. Cool to hear about an interesting bottle of it.
