Pop and pour. On the nose: black cherry, currant, oaky vanilla, anise, pencil lead. Taste: Schrader dense/rich, smooth wine with black fruit, currants, spice, oak, fig and a plumy cedar medium plus finish. Not a CCS or RBS, but I would not dump and spit! Cheers! — 6 days ago
When I think of Paso reds, ripe and rich are the first things come to mind. Not this bottle though. At 8 years old, the fruits are so fresh and pure. Only on the 3rd day that it started to show some tertiary notes of fig, black tea leaf, and dried mushroom. Love the 13.5% abv.

This Zin continues to impress me. Plum, blueberry, fig, black pepper, espresso, and light tobacco. Juicy and smooth on the palate. Round acidity and tannins. Lingering candied and smoky finish.

Blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 6% Petit Verdot & 3% Malbec, deep Ruby with aromas of berry fruits with spice, herb and earthy notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry, ripe cherry, fig and blueberry with currants, cacao, pepper and earthy notes. Palate has dried blueberry, blackberry, dried black currant, muddy garden soil, faint dried strawberry with mild tannins and medium acidity.
