Vieilles Vignes Brouilly Gamay 2018

Good. Not as good as the first or at Gramercy Tavern. Didn’t use the aerator this time and that helped. Very fruity. — 3 years ago

Fattoria Petrolo

Torrione Toscana Sangiovese Blend 2000

Terrific dinner at the National Arts Club on Gramercy Park Square with some new friends. Having enjoyed Petrolo's top wine yesterday, I decided to stay with the same producer today and so I brought along their entry level wine, but from 2000 so there was a fair bit of age to it. Quite advanced with mostly tertiary notes but retaining vibrancy, it showed really well. Peak drinking. — 4 years ago

Another great bottle, we popped an '04 over the Independence Day holiday last year, still many years to go.

Sicilia Nerello Mascalese 2007

Had this as part of the tasting menu at Gramercy Tavern in NYC. For the price point and amazing wine. We were drinking cabs at the time and this wine still stood out. So for the price this ranks very high. — 5 years ago

Gramercy Estate Syrah 2010

Soft, simple, satisfying...ripe, round, still dark purple. Tannins resolved... perhaps a bit jammy or flabby. But lots of ripe, sweet black fruit. — 2 years ago

"Aux Echezeaux" Gevrey-Chambertin Pinot Noir 2013

Bright and lively, buzzy cherry and tart strawberry. An unusual barnyard to it. Nice. - Gramercy Tavern always so good — 4 years ago
