Gerbole Barbera d'Alba 2011

Love this wine! Lots of cherry on the nose, hints of wood (hickory?). Smoky, dark fruits, somewhat acidic but finishes with some dryness. So delicious! — 3 years ago

Barbaresco 2006

Medium bodied. Poured a dusty rose. Nose of raspberry tart. Dill and black tea. A little thin for my taste. Served from magnum. This one still has a little bit of tannic grip. Stiff young oak influence. It was ok, but was not a stunner compared to the other wines on the table. This one will undoubtedly improve over the next 10 years and probably still has 20 years in magnum. I definitely look for this one to start condensing down soon? — 3 years ago

Served en mag. Found this to be simple and basic. I know nothing of this producer so this could have been $20 or $200. Muddled raspberries, bay leaf, black tea notes. Young, but the oak wasn’t over powering. More of a tart finish.
