For the price, amazing. Other reviewers were right in saying this is more of a good “Langhe Nebbiolo” than a Barolo, but for $20 I’d drink this daily. Likely will be better in 5 years. — 11 days ago
Again a surprise, super budget Costco vino ($8? Back then) that slept for 11 years and it’s drinking fine.m, like a niche aged Rhone with balance and interest. Did better than the Guigal os the same vintage — a month ago
Lots of mint on the nose (69% Cabernet Sauvignon; 31% Shiraz) together with blackberry. On the palate plenty of drive and power in this Cabernet Shiraz blend - layers of fruit, oak and spice. Rich and full bodied - the perfect accompaniment for a vintage Porterhouse steak - Waygu marbelling. Oak has integrated since the tasting 5 years ago. A pity that it takes 20 years for Yalumba’s Signature red to reach its peak but probably true. Interestingly the wine is matured for 22 months in American, French and Hungarian barrels coopered at Yalumba. This was the last bottle from a dozen originally purchased. — a month ago

Bright garnet color with a small ruby core. Aromas of red berries, menthol, tar, violets and wet stones. Flavors of ripe red cherries and strawberries, Asian spices and mint. Long and mineral-laden finish. Well balanced with vibrant acidity and fine grained tannins. Nicely structured and hitting its peak. Quite vibrant and elegant. Good value Barolo. Solid producer. — 9 days ago
