Vieilles Vignes Gevrey-Chambertin Pinot Noir 2009

Unfortunately probably better a couple years ago, similar to the chambo we had from here a couple weeks back. Still quite refined and seamless, with great acid backbone and a decent finish. But just not all there in terms of fruit and earth and just doesn’t completely come together. — 2 years ago

Clos Vougeot Grand Cru Pinot Noir 2016

Tons of darker red fruit on the nose and palate with almost a chewy mouthfeel. Hints of cocoa which I would not have expected and almost had a slightly new world feel to it on the nose. 2016 is a really fruit forward and easy drinking year! — 4 years ago
