Tinhorn Creek

Oldfield Reserve Okanagan Valley Cabernet Franc 2015

Decanted for 1 hour prior to drinking. Begins with a fairly hot nose of cedar and dark fruit and transitions into a powerfully juicy palate of blackberry, leather, clove and bell pepper. A superb expression of Canadian Cab Franc. Paired with a 20 day aged striploin with tarragon-sauce and both golden and red beets as well as Scarlett runner beans we grew on our garden. 👌🏻 🍷 — 15 days ago

Osoyoos Larose

Le Grand Vin Okanagan Valley Merlot Blend 2016

The Killers release a new album a couple weeks ago, and named one of the tracks after this wine: My God.

Blueberries. Cherry. Cigars... and not the cheap ones: Cubans.

Every sip lingers nearly 10 minutes... it’s huge. I can only imagine what this will taste like in another 10 years.

The Alphonso Davies of wine.

Painted Rock

Red Icon Estate Grown Malbec Blend 2010

2016 vintage. Great vintage weather wise in Okanagan Valley. Long, dry September makes great hang time.
Deep, dark, shiny, plum red in the glass.
Aromas of ripe raspberries, black fruit, milk chocolate and underbrush. Savoury, spicy flavours of blue and black fruit and milk chocolate (love the Merlot) with a silky texture and well ingrained tannins. This wine is 14.9 % but carries it well on the finish. 44% Merlot, 21% Cab Franc, 16% Petit Verdot, 12% Cab Sauv and 7% Malbec. If you get the chance , try Painted Rock 100% Cabernet Franc. It’s impressive.

Poplar Grove Winery

Rosé Blend 2019

Continues to be a great rosé from the Okanagan with flavours of unripe strawberries, cherry koolaide, and some minerality on the finish. The nose is subtle, orange blossom and crushed gravel. Paired with sage-stuffed chicken thighs with artichokes and red onions in a garlic and white wine sauce. — 20 days ago

Happy birthday, Dido! 83 is worth a great bottle and this delivers.
Mature full ruby color. Nose of forest floor, crushed red fruits. Palate feel and in mouth aromas feel more old world, savory, dusty, and with structure below the flesh.

Rattlesnake Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc 2019

2019 Wits End Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc. Made by Aussie in British Columbia that tastes like New Zealand.
Domenic is the wine maker...incredibly talented and a great guy to have a glass of wine with.
New Zealand nose with green bean, passion fruit and lime zest.
Crisp, crisp, crisp acidity with flavours of pea tips, gooseberry and citrus. We had grilled B.C. halibut and scallop sashimi with this wine.
