Reallly spicy, but not peppery, with delicious forward cranberries, and then a velvety mid-palate with an almost dry, not tannic, but definitely lingering. The nose is floral and string, but also the word purple comes to pond, and I almost want to use the description of violet for both the nose and the mid-palate/finish? Very different, but delicious! The color is also surprisingly translucent and pale for the bold flavor. — 7 days ago

La Chaux is a Cerebral ice bath. A beautiful complex thinker.
Sniff this thing. Goes deep. Reminds you that there are three dimensions, four dimensions, maybe other dimensions?
Spiritually oxidized, but also bright and yellow in its Chardonnay birth suit.
Smells like candied lemondrop, sweet basil, and volatile Vietnamese cinnamon. Tastes like browned apples and sour starfruit. — 2 months ago

Distinctive, toasty, nutty oxidative style with struck match and mineral rock for days. Hint of citrus for good measure. Excellent. — 2 months ago

The 2017 Petit Chablis offers impressive intensity on the nose: a light oyster shell scents percolating through the citrus fruit. The palate is well balanced with a taut line of acidity, linear in style with a brisk but focused finish. Very fine. (Neal Martin, Vinous, August 2018) — 3 years ago
