Amazing! What Cabernet should be. — a month ago

Inky ruby. A hugely perfumed bouquet evokes ripe dark berries, incense, vanilla, exotic spices and candied flowers, and a smoky oak nuance builds slowly in the glass. Sappy and penetrating on the palate, offering wonderfully concentrated yet lively cherry liqueur, black currant, fruitcake, lavender pastille and mocha flavors that are accented by cracked pepper and mineral flourishes. Shows outstanding energy and smoky persistence on the dark-fruit- and floral-dominated finish, which features building spiciness and youthfully gripping tannins. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, July 2021)

Drank this bottle the night before my son left for college.
Cherry and dark fruit. Moderate tannin. Very nice with roast lamb. — 20 days ago
See several previous notes. Aromas of roasted cashew - funky leesy notes - barrel ferment characters. A light delicate palate showing more citrus and grapefruit than stone fruit characters. Leaner than an Leeuwin Art Series and the peaches and cream style. Tastes way younger than 10 years old. An exceptional Chardonnay. — 2 months ago
Distinctive entry level Cabernet from Vasse Felix. Juicy core of black raspberry, black plum and cassis framed by leafy herbal notes, black pepper, turned soil and wood spice. Killer bargain for $15.99. Drinks well above its price. Delicious.
