More aged wine. Seems to be tonight’s theme. This France meets Italy in the blend. Label says it was $12. Not sure where I got it though. Dark maroon with a rusty edge. Aromas are the dust, smoke and old book smells of older Cab/Merlot. Maybe a slight whiff of ball-point pen ink. Flavors are also aged/oxidized. But just slightly. Still has fresh berry-cherry vibes. Bittersweet with a hint of charred meats or tar. This is a fun blend that aged well and has an elegance making it well worth the $12 it cost me. — 9 months ago
I don’t usually like rose. This reminds me of a flat sparkling Pinot Noir. Doesn’t leave the rose aftertaste or headache. — 3 years ago

Probably a little past it’s peak but still an excellent wine, silky smooth and elegant. Lots of sediment so definitely decant. — 2 years ago

A delicious, surprisingly savoury & structured Merlot from Lazio.
Dark plums, some blackberry & dark cherry character, but also an earthy, savoury underscore with some rocky notes, mocha, hints of roast.
Elegant & restrained on the palate with a good frame of polished tannins and juicy acidity. Very nice definition here and good substance.
Blind - a really good St. Emilion.
Sadly, priced equally high. — 8 months ago
Favorite wine of the night. Indigenous grape from Lazio (Rome), great balance with a meaty, chewy tasty finish. Cheers. — 2 years ago
