The 2021 Nebbiolo Rusin opens slowly in the glass, displaying dried apricots, peach skins and sweet smoke. Soothing textures with brilliant acidity enriches its white cherry-berry fruits. Minerality and sour citrus linger as the 2021 tapers off with fine tension. $20.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, August 2022) — 10 days ago

The 2021 Bianco Regaleali is remarkably pretty with white flowers, ripe peaches, candied citrus and hints of wet stone. Soft textural orchard fruits cascade across a core of zesty acidity and salty minerals. A balance of sweet and sour keeps the finale fresh. $15.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, July 2022) — 17 days ago
Eric Solomon - for the most part - has a really good nose for Spanish wines: this is no different. Entry level Priorat with beautiful minerality & kirsch aromas mingled with white pepper & licorice. Really mouthfilling and suave on palate, generous w/just enough rigidity in tannins to provide approachable structure balanced nicely w/acidity. Lingering finish bellies $20 price point. — 25 days ago

Something different - a pear cider from Normandy produced from pear trees estimated to be about 300 years old. Poire Granit had 25 to 50 grams of sugar per litre yet it doesn’t taste particularly sweet. The nose and palate are nothing more complex than pear juice with a slight effervescent bubble. Very refreshing and only 6% ABV. I bought 2 other Cuvées from Eric Bordelet - one had zero ABV. — 5 days ago
