Great smooth soft texture but powerful — 6 years ago
Needs a bit more time I think. Oak is not quite integrated yet. Will be a great effort in a few more years. — 7 years ago
Definitely a bottle that can do with more cellaring, but showing good potential with its strong fruit flavours and tannins. — 6 years ago
Touch past its prime, but it’s lovely. Beautiful porty feel here. — 5 years ago
This was way better then expected! #oldburglove — 5 years ago
Terrific acid giving this wine amazing backbone. It took over three hours for the secondary and tertiary flavors to emerge. Still going strong! — 6 years ago
Delectable Wine

The 2016 Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru, from a parcel purchased in 2008 with an average vine age of 96 years, has a wonderful, expressive bouquet with blackberry, raspberry, freshly rolled tobacco and just a hint of truffle. The palate is underpinned by very fine tannin, quite edgy and full of tension, potent sous-bois notes towards the animated finish. You can feel the wake of this wine 60 seconds after. Perhaps this is even better than the Romanée-Saint-Vivant? (Neal Martin, Vinous, July 2018)
