Cuvée Millésime Prestige Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Brut Chardonnay 2006

Lesser experience with champagnes but this is good — 13 days ago

Gérard Raphet

Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru Pinot Noir 2007

One of the great wines from Raphet. Sadly my last btl of 2 cases where again this btl over delivered offering up copious amounts of black cherry, berry fruits with sweet almost Leroy like spices, mineral & violet. I wish I could find more wines that drink this well at this $$$. Consistent with my many prior notes — 23 days ago

Grands-Echezeaux Grand Cru Pinot Noir 1964

So much going on with layers of red fruits & spice. One of my favorite older Leroys! — 2 months ago

Yeah I asked Delectable to identify it as they did not list a Maison GE but still came back with the Domain. I have drank more than a case of this & it has always been amazing showing the Leroy spice.

The 85 Ruchottes and the 66 Corton are also great Maison Leroy. Sadly I have little left. Ageless stuff.

Domaine Leroy

Les Beaux Monts Vosne-Romanée Pinot Noir 1993

Reddish tawny. Needed 6+ hours of air for the nose to open up. Notes of bing cherry, asian spice, dark earth and some rhubarb. Great funk and mouth feel. These 93s are barely budging out of their shells. This bottle needed at least 5 more years of slumber to round out, IMO. — a month ago

Bourgogne Chardonnay 2015

Similar notes to previous bottle when posted in December 2020 but more fulsome on the palate with more stone fruit and less mineral than then. Palate showing peach and nectarine with diminished acid and salinity. Very delicious and probably worth the $115 AUD. A little cleansing citric acid to finish off. — 2 months ago
