Domaine Michel David

Clos du Ferré Vieilles Vignes Muscadet de Sèvre-et-Maine Sur Lie 2019

Superb nose of citrus (lemon, yuzu, even grapefruit) and a bit chalk. This is very inviting! The palate is very well made, with a wonderful fruity note all along, an almost sweet mouthfeel, and a long finish with that citrusy note which lasts a long while. It paired very well with a plate of pasta alla vongole and with some well aged French cheeses. — 5 days ago

When we are on the bassin d'arcachon, this is a go to meal. I should have added that we picked the vongole ourselves, knee-deep in the mud 😂 those little pleasures...

Politically Correct Red Wine 2016

This is a very tasty Bordeaux blend from Lodi. Showing nice complexity, but a little unbalanced.

Full bodied with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry and very fruity (and some RS), on the palate with blackberries, black currants, eucalyptus, black plums, cooked cherries, cedar, vanilla, Mediterranean spices, espresso, cola, light herbs and black pepper.

Tangy finish with soft tannins and tangy cherries.

This 5 year old is big, bold and extracted. A little much, but very enjoyable.

This is an Orin Swift look alike, from the bottle look, to the wine style.

Good right out of the bottle, and better after 90 minutes of airtime.

Thank you Wendy for sharing this with me.

Would be nice to revisit it in 3 years, and see if it calms down a bit.

A blend of 50% Cabernet Franc, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon ,5% Malbec, 5% Petit Verdot and 5% Merlot. Aged in French oak barrels (33% new).

14.5% alcohol by volume.

92 points.

$50.

Freakshow Lodi Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Dark black purple. Dark currant with a hint of chocolate taste. Nowadays, I guess you can find a wine label about anything, like. mermaid, prisoner, any animals, sisters, cars, but on a freak show? I have to ask why? Wine was good! — 23 days ago
