Costières De Nîmes, Southern Rhône

Château de Montfaucon

Vin de Monsieur Le Baron de Montfaucon Red Rhone Blend 2012

Lovely sweet redfruits, this lovely cuvée has all 13 permitted grapes in CdP (red and white) in the blend, so is very supple and suave, great balance, medium-long finish, lovely!! — 2 days ago

Costières-de-Nîmes Lou Coucardie Blanc

Potent yellow colour. Rich, almost Chardonnay like despite being a mix of roussanne-Grenache blanc-Viognier, and string body. I really like this one. 4/2-2023 (home) — 8 months ago

Château de Campuget

Tradition de Campuget Costières-de-Nîmes Rosé Blend 2020

Color of peach, nice viscosity on the palate, long finish, a little funk here, presents with melon, tangerine, grapefruit, lavender, wet gravel, and sea spray! Noted low ratings, I am really enjoying this wine! — a month ago

JT Costières-de-Nîmes Syrah Mourvédre 2019

Surprisingly good. From Total Wine in Towson. Didn’t know it was $25. Strong dark berry flavor. Moderate tannin. — 7 months ago

Château Mourgues du Gres

Galets Rosés Costières-de-Nîmes Rosé Blend 2022

Fawning over this sub-$20 rose. Light orange color but matches perfectly with an orange peel aroma mixed with white flowers and some white pepper. Really a pretty scent. Subtle flavors of strawberry and melon. Nice edge of minerality that comes through toward the end. Easy drinking and good tasting. Medium finish. — 2 months ago
