They say the vines are 150-300 years old ungrafted ones untouched by phylloxera. I don’t remember having this grape before. What’s in the glass is very tannic, but balanced with nice fruit, floral, and mineral notes. — 5 months ago

Marisa cuomo- Casta di amalfi- furore- deep coloration- on the nose, smoke, oak, blackberry, and dark cherry. On the palate, dark cherry, blackberry, plum, leather, full bodied. Jammy. Very enjoyable and had just about everyday when in amalfi. — 5 months ago

A real treat to get to try this wine. Quite hard to track down but I found it at Enoteca Millesimi in Florence and jammed it in my tiny suitcase. It takes plenty of painstaking work to produce this special wine. Terraced pergola vineyards at scary steep slopes over the Amalfi Coast. Lemons, passionfruit, honey, toasted nuts, camomile. It’s full bodied, rich and supple but with a crisp and mineral finish. — 5 months ago
