Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

Still tight at this point - could go another 5 years at least - beautiful rose, pie cherry and coco notes on the nose. Lots of tannic grip still. Cherry Cola, baking spices and white pepper on the palette. ❤️ — 2 months ago

Garrison Creek Cellars

Walla Walla Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2009

Still doing great after 11 years. This could easily go another 2-3 years I think. Dark purple with faint hints of oxidation starting to show up. Plum, cherry, cola, tobacco, notes of coco, cassis, and blackberry on the palate. A hint of vegetal greenness on the nose, but otherwise plum and floral notes on the nose followed by tobacco and pepper. — 4 months ago

Tenuta Sant'Antonio

La Bandina Valpolicella Superiore Corvina Blend 2016

A strong first few sips but gradually with fresh breathes it takes , it’s becomes Velvety & smoother .

A strong gorgeous wine to pair with strong cheese board & cold meat cuts .
I enjoyed it thoroughly with 80./. Dark coco & truffle bites. A Pair made for a delicious decadent Burst of flavours.
it’s a slightly on a dry side of wine but very delicious.

Thank you @Jason and Jennie / amazing wine and Kirk Venge is making delicious wine - RP scored this 97 and I was just not willing to go that far but one of the best Napa cabs in awhile for me - this was consumed during the WNH Sunday virtual zoom tasting and to share virtually with Jason and Jennie was even more amazing - wine had legs forever - deep ruby color - smell of dark red cherries and raspberries and coco - taste and finish incredible - fruit forward delicious smooth - all of the above help create big bold beautiful in a bottle and left me with a huge smile — 2 months ago

You nailed the tasting notes. Such a great wine (and value!). So thankful to chat with you virtually on Sunday. Cheers Mike!

Domaine de Rapatel

Cuvée Igor Nemausensis Fecit Red Blend 2012

Definitely an earthy, mature, savory wine from the Heights Natural Wine shop in Houston. Tobacco, cherry pit, Coco nibs, tar, bitter almond, strawberry, decomposing leaves, a definite sanguine quality. Bit of cigarette smoke on the finish.

Must be Grenache heavy-- this reminds me of a traditional rioja with 10+ years on it.

This wine is not lacking in complexity. Moderate but enduring tannins and lively acidity, though I wish there was a bit more fruit that tasted as lively as the acidity still feels. Glad I bought it, but it definitely wasn't a party starter at the VanMeurers-- too geeky and funky.

Fontodi

Chianti Classico Sangiovese 2016

Can’t put this one down.... beautiful nose of dried rose pedal, dusty rainer cherry, coco bean. Earthy. Juicy blackcherry fruit bounds on the palate accented by espresso and cedar box. Cranberry too. Outstanding length with soft, persistent tannins. Great now, only better with cellar age. — a month ago

Dusted Valley Vintners

BFM Stone Tree Vineyard Merlot Blend 2016

Black cherry, coco, and coffee notes on the nose are seductive and indicative of the relative youth of this vintage. On the sip, all those flavors come through, especially the black cherry. In addition some black plum, tobacco and vanilla come through. Yum! — 3 months ago
