13.5% abv. Inky black cherry color. Aromas of leather, pine, wintergreen, and juniper. Grippy and young. Savory and earthy and not at all fruit driven. Could go another few years; needs air now. Moderate acidity; tannins rule the texture. Long, dark, savory finish with a juicy hit right at the end. Food-loving. $40 at NWS. — 10 years ago

Big, bold and beautifully structured. Not my thing, but if you like 'em big, this is stellar. — 5 years ago
Flinty and earthy but appropriately light for a warm day — 8 years ago
Enough complexity, enough acidities, enough body, great harmony, 99,99% pure and absolutely no hint of superficiality. Cleaner than Pradeaux or Gaussen and earthier than Pibarnon and Tempier. Tastes exactly right. — 3 years ago
