Fresh and basic in a good way. — 2 months ago
Excellent, luscious Burgundy 2018.
Dark red, silky smooth, good fruit, touch of smoke and leather. Rich, unctuous mouth feel and pleasant finish.

A big surprise here. Expected a nice, steady Burg but this definitely over delivers. Medium bodied with so, so much fruit on the nose. Raspberries and cherries galore. A touch of blueberry and smoke. Black olives and a hint of mushroom. There’s a really nice tapenade element here that is just splendid.
From a Premier Cru vineyard in Givry in the Côte Chalonnaise and punching well above its weight class. Graceful yet earthy with plenty of refinement and emotion. Silky mouthfeel and very pure. The fruit is dominant on the palate with white pepper, oak, and earth. Truly a wonderful Burgundy. It delivers now but will be even better in a few years. — 2 months ago
Bright and cheery. Lemony apple, melon, with a smooth honey finish. Very easy to drink. Beautiful chilled for a hot summer day. — 5 months ago
I can’t lie, the aesthetics do please me. A gorgeous medium salmon color with plenty of tiny bubbles. The nose is quite delightful with the customary red berries upfront. A bit of candied nuts and spice compliment. Citrus aromas are just lovely here along with green apples and pretty flowers.
Elegant and focused with laser like precision. Pure Pinot Noir with character and drama for days. Medium bodied but very light on its feet, as graceful as a ballerina. Smooth acidity that still manages to thrill. The fruit is always at the forefront but never threatens to become unbalanced. Splendid.
Exhilarating in the mouth. The strawberries and raspberries are delicious with a hint of cinnamon and spice. Orange peel and a touch of lemon. A terrific rosé champagne, especially for special occasions. — 2 months ago

The NV Brut Grand Cellier is bright, effusive and wonderfully charming. White flowers, chalk, mint and lemon confit give this mid-weight, nervy Champagne tons of energy. All the elements are so nicely put together. I especially like the energy and crystalline purity here. There are a lot of terrific wines in this range, but the Grand Cellier is quintessentially Vilmart. This release is based on 2019, with the addition of reserve wines from 2018. Dosage is 7 grams per liter. Disgorged: May 2022. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, May 2023) — 6 months ago
