Both 11 and 18 vintages were soft. The ‘11 is drinking beautifully right now and was my favorite of the lineup. — 17 days ago
Brought to Tasting Group from my cellar and presented to the group double-blind. The wine presents a deep ruby color with moderate staining of the tears. Medium viscosity. On the nose, notes of strawberry, cherry candy, watermelon juice, menthol, green herbs oregano thyme, and cedar. On the palate, the wine is dry and structure is medium+ across the board. The finish is long, tart, mineral and woody but not in a new oak sort of way. Everyone was in the Old World with guesses ranging from Burgundy to Rioja. To be fair, not many in Napa makes Zinfandel like this anymore…if any at all. Lovely stuff. — a month ago
This wine has a deep purple hue with developing notes of crème de cassis, blackberry, black cherry; also pencil shavings, cedar, tobacco, toast, clove, black olive, forest floor, and leather.
Tannins are fine grain, velveteen, and smooth.
It’s not a fruit bomb, but it’s a pop-and-pour; delicious today with potential for further aging. — 13 days ago
2014. Driveling in 2022. Smooth. Delicious — 12 days ago
Pretty purple dress. First superb nose both fresh and peppery on small black blueberry, blackcurrant, violet flower; then more surprising notes on mountain climates and stink in Switzerland for me. It evokes more southern notes of syrah, such as Cornas, St-Joseph, bacon and smoke without the graphite charcoal side. Really a beautiful cuvée that connects two types of syrah usually tasted. The mouth is fluid. Cuvée full of charm with certainly cold extraction to infuse the fruit to the maximum without excess alcohol. Congratulations Switzerland once again! 🙏🇨🇭
Jolie robe pourpre. 🙏🇨🇭 — 25 days ago
Drinking the 2013 in 2022. Wonderful big bouquet. Rich oak notes and deep dark fruit. Smooth flavor from start to finish! Well balanced flavors. Slightly earthy with oaky notes. Tart cherry and dark ripe fruit to start with a very smooth finish. Love it!!!! — 8 days ago
Blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 6% Petit Verdot & 3% Malbec, deep Ruby with aromas of berry fruits with spice, herb and earthy notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry, ripe cherry, fig and blueberry with currants, cacao, pepper and earthy notes. Fine soft tannins, good structure, long finish, great mouthfeel, ending with cedar, fruit and earthy character. Wonderful! Very Nice. — 6 days ago
Opens right off with pomegranate, cranberry, raspberry, orange, then building acidity through the longish finish. Not complicated and easy to drink. — 8 days ago
Fruity, bubblegam smell. Very easy on palate, pure white grape taste. No tannin. Short (2s) aftertaste with a "wet" mouth feel and dry finish. — 2 days ago
"Odedi"
This is a very tasty Riesling from Napa Valley.
Medium-bodied with medium-plus acidity.
Dry on the palate with a smooth, creamy mouthfeel.
This 6 year old is showing lemons, yellow apples, petrol, plastic, cream, earth, minerals, herbs, sea salt and white pepper.
I had it a year ago, and it seems like it is less fruit forward now.
Spicy and entertaining. Good by itself or with food. Showing nice complexity and better when not too cold.
12.8% alcohol by volume.
91 points.
