1998 Sassicaia. Latm dinner at Ner. I preferred this over the 1999 Valdicava Madonna out of 3L. This wine had great length, lots of fruit, and didn’t feel as lean as the Madonna. — 3 years ago
Benedetta knows how to make a great wine. This comes from a tiny family owned estate on the east side of the hill in Montalcino. Benedetta's father worked these vines for years before he saved up to buy them. They only make 13,000 bottles / year I believe. Think of their Super Tuscan starter /first course wine, the Rossi as the brother, and their Brunello as the "dad". Buy this bottle. — 5 years ago
— 3 years ago
Great appetizer/cocktail hour opening wine. We like it so much more after meeting and visiting with Benedetta at the winery in Montalcino. — 5 years ago
