This is exceptionally good. Nose has ripe pomegranate and zingy dark cherry fruit, a ton of liquid minerals, a nose-tingling chalk dust note, spice, and mahogany furniture. Lots going on. In the mouth the minerality is intense, accompanying dense bone dry cherry extract. Tightly-wound, unusually for an ‘18, there is lots of fine-grained tannin and intense acids. Really enjoyable for its athleticism right now, this will age beautifully. — 3 months ago
Sangiovese as it’s finest. So much structure and finesse. Super food friendly. Concentrated cherry extract with balsamic and herbs on the nose with hints of baking spices. Anise and black pepper. Amazing length and finish — a month ago
Color of saturated purple, with a bit ruby note, a bit cloudy, nice legs. Nose of dark fruits, blackberries and black cherry, vanilla, oak, aldehyde, and ripe grapes. Taste follows the nose with addition of tea flavor, black pepper, strawberry, lighter than I thought yet good flavors, mellow tannins, and a bit zesty bitterness. Aftertaste shows some more oak and leather. Clean with medium long finish. A bit overpowering bitterness. Peak time. Enjoy her now. — 2 months ago
Tuscan white wine from WineThing, had ‘19 vintage in ‘23. Nice. — 2 months ago
A mid salmon in colour. Notes of strawberry, melon and stone fruit. Tastes quite fruit driven and New World for an Italian Rosato. 50% Sangiovese; 50% Prugnolo Gentile (a new grape varietal for me). Easy to drink. Made for the Bistro Lunch trade where a bottle will disappear quickly. — 2 months ago
