Bodega Cerro Colorado

Cerro Añon Crianza Rioja Tempranillo Blend 2017

Blend of (mostly) Tempranillo, Graciano and Mazuelo. Another solid vintage of this Crianza-Styled Rioja. Medium inky ruby color with garnet highlights. Plush aromas of ripe plums and dark berries with a subtle note of beef jerky and wet soil. Juicy dark berry and plum flavors also fill the palate with additional notes of black tea and dark caramel. Hint of cocoa on the tart and spicy finish. Medium-bodied, with silky tannins and a velvety texture. Outstanding QPR! — 24 days ago

Tin Cup

American Whiskey

My husband is a scotch drinker, but, this was given to him as a Christmas present last year.
He landed up opening it up last week to try, and really liked it. He’s had a glass every night so far.
Impressed.

J. A. Balistreri Vineyards

Colorado Petite Sirah 2012

Deep purple in color with a short purple rim.

Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate and nicely balanced.

Showing black fruits with spices, light wood, tobacco leaf, dark chocolates, red candy, black pepper, herbs and light graphite.

This 11 year old is peaking now. Nice and engaging. Extracted and rich, yet elegant. Tangy and interesting.

Good right out of the bottle, and much better after 90 minutes of air time.

Showing nice complexity at this point with a nice mouthfeel.

A very interesting take on a Petite Sirah from Colorado. Showing more red fruits than I expected.

I had it before and I liked it even better now.

Grapes are grown in the Grand Valley AVA and fermented on their own yeast. Aged in American oak barrels. Unfiltered and vegan.

15% alcohol by volume.

92 points.

$75.

Tempranillo tasting! Aromas of red cherry and barnyard funk. Notes of petrol, wet leaves, red cherry, and leather. Medium bodied with chalky tannins (on cheeks) with a medium finish. After opening up, the funk and petrol lessened greatly. — 2 months ago

Favia

Cerro Sur Napa Valley Red Blend 2016

Nice floral nose. Cherry liquor up front. Some black, blue and red fruit all show as it evolves in glass. Really opens up nicely and smooths out to a delicate mouthfeel. Decant 30 min. Tannins nice and silky and supple. Good full finish. — 4 months ago
