Complex with good acidity. Long finish with salinity. — 8 months ago
This is good - just not great for my preferences. I expect/prefer a bit of a spicy date profile for Amarone. After a few hours of slow ox the nose was dry roses and mild spice. On the palate it was more earthy and leathery than spicy and didn’t have the expected slight date/raisin sweetness. The finish was lengthy and leathery. — 10 months ago
Deep Ruby with aromas of dried fruits, savory spices and smoky notes. On the palate sweet plum and cherry flavors, savory, with citrus, licorice, pepper & cacao. Soft tannins, chewy on long finish, great balance with acidity, nice mouthfeel, ending with an oaky character. — 3 years ago

Best Allegrini Amarone I have enjoyed. Not as complex as Bertani but great drinking.

Super classic Italian red. This is mostly a blend of three clones of Corvina along with small percentages of Cabernet, Sangiovese and Syrah.
Moderate intensity ruby color. Nose is mostly dried/tart fruit as cranberries and cherry fruit roll up. Palate is delicately tannic and fresh with acid. Very well balanced, while not in way a way a blockbuster. This is the classic 'italian red's of a previous generation which will happily match with nearly any roasted/baked/saucy tomato you want to throw at it as well as creamy risottos and roasted meats. Great all purpose red. — 10 months ago
