Quintessential Beaune. Quite young, but already showing some soft edges. Cherry notes combine with cinnamon and a hint of nutmeg. This is not for the long haul, but is presenting well right now. Finishes dry, so in my mind, this requires food - Nougatine at Jean Georges. — 7 days ago
Nose has chalky plum, dark chocolate bar, black cherry, vine smoke, blackberry and wet earth.
Palate has ripe blackberry, black currant, dried strawberry, clove with smooth tannins and a long finish.
I've always adored the Beaune reds (and whites) as beinging somewhat more weighty than most other Burgundy villages, and this bottle is no slouch! Slow oxidation for 2H then decanted 3H, still evolving in our glasses.
Pre-birthday dinner for our dear COVID bubble friend; we've only allowed one of our close friends into the house for almost the past year, tonight we're celebrating that he's one year older than me. 😉 — 19 days ago
Dark fruit, black cherries, some spices and a floral hint. A vivid acidity with generous fruit, and very manageable tannins, nice but will benefit of time in the cellar. 90-91
Du fruit noir, cerises entre autres, épicé et avec une touche florale. Une acidité appuyée en bouche, ce fruit généreux et des tannins fort approchables mais va bénéficier de quelques années en cave. 90-91

Have not had since November 2018. This is in a great place now. Unreal forest floor, dead leaves and mega sous bois. Just gorgeous and showing signs of age. Mint. Super complex and so old school. Wonderful. Incredible minerality. Palate is still much more youthful than the nose suggests. Sappy, sweet, structured and deep. Unreal finesse, breadth and concentration. Tiny berry fruit intensity. Sweet tannins and awesome length. Really really long. Im sure air will really make this elite. Easy 9.5 right now — 21 hours ago
