An incredible Show Record:- Good Wine Guides Best Shiraz and Wine of the Year in 2011 - 98 points from Nick Stock. Giving more on the 2nd night. Incredible length of flavour - goes on and on. This has always been one of my favourite Australian Red Wines and I have tried to buy it on a regular basis but it has become very expensive (over $200) - no doubt because of its impeccable quality. Lovely on open. A hint of oak that blows off. Lemon zest.

Fruit is so bright. A hint of tartness. Great acidity. Almost puckering. No fat at all. Super lean and linear.

Long bright finish.

Enjoyed this somewhat exotic wine. Recommended by a sommelier at a wine shop. Apparently the grape was assumed extinct for 400 years until it was discovered growing on someone’s property in the 1980s. Taste is akin to a Nebbiolo. Blueberry and blackberry on the nose. Bright berries with balanced acidity and dryness. Would love to have again. — 3 years ago

Pale yellow. Expressive nose is ripe, honeyed, smoked and wooly. In the mouth, it’s fresh and precise, with green apple and pear, underlying saltiness and a crisp, mineral finish. Lovely, elegant Chenin Blanc from schist, aged one year in 400-liter older barrels. (Jason Wilson, Vinous, July 2020)
