Pure sparkling perfection. This is 100% Pinot Noir single source fruit from Elk Cove’s La Boheme vineyard located in the coastal range of Oregon. It’s got delicious depth of flavor and wonderful effervescence to make it stand up to all the great sparkling wines out there. One of our favorites in our house. It’s fun and unexpected compared to a more traditional sparkling. It’s dry and delicious. — 4 years ago

Syncline is one of my favorite roses made in the PNW. This one isn’t typical as it’s not Pinot Noir based. It’s traditional French blend GMC. Lip smacking cherry and strawberry with a lovely dry finish. Great cold on a hot day and equally as good with just a slight chill with barbecue. A lovely wine from this small winery in Lyle, WA in the Columbia Gorge. Bring on summer. — 4 years ago

Delicious and intriguing wine. Crisp. Fresh citrus. Stone fruit elements. Minerals. Long finish. Dry and delicious. Small production from Anne Hubatch in Portland, Oregon. Check out their website and order some of their amazing wines! — 5 years ago

This is a fun Rose from a small producer Fossil & Fawn in Forest Grove, Oregon. I mean just look at that cute label! While @delectable lists thus as a rose blend, it’s wrong. This is 100% Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley. Crisp and refreshing. Light berries and a hint of melon. Really small production and hand bottled. May be hard to find outside of the PNW but if you can get it, we’ll worth the try. — 4 years ago

An amazing sparkler with 59% Pinot Noir and 41% Chardonnay aged 10 years in the lees. Hints of quince and toast in this elegant bubbly. A delicious way to celebrate the Biden Harris victory speech! — 5 years ago

This is NOT the Rosato. The 2019 Columbia Gorge Rose is not that grape. Delectable needs to update and add this one. It’s amazing. Also disregard the other ratings here in the low 8 range. That’s baloney. This rose is traditional with cherry and berry notes, dry and goes down smooth. It’s hard find, the 2019, and it may be sold out. Glad I bought several bottles! — 4 years ago

It’s a great grape for rose. Grenache gets too little attention on its own as it’s typically in a blend. But here this Abacela Rose shines. Cherry. Strawberry. Tart and crisp. Lip smacking. Dry. It’s wonderful chilled on a hot day and equally delicious as it warms to room temperature. The QPR is amazing for the substance of this wine. Ranges $15-20 bottle. And keep some for Fall and Winter too. Rose isn’t just for sunny summers. Goes with a myriad of foods all year long (think turkey at Thanksgiving or ham at Christmas). It goes Especially well with all grilled things. Barbecue season here we come! — 4 years ago

Amazingly lovely wine. White peach, pear, light almond. It’s delicious. Small wine maker in Portland, Oregon who is adept at making amazing obscure white wines. This Arneis is the last I understand so try to get some before it’s gone. Won’t be produced from this vineyard again. — 5 years ago
