Great nose. Smokey, stone fruits, red apple, super vivid, what stunning minerality. Great nose, staring to get secondary. Wood shavings. Palate is rich and opulent yet tense and invigorating. Great tensile finish. So long. Precise and linear. The Z man can do it elite at all price points. This is crazy good and age only adds. As this airs it fills out and gets chewy and concentrated and retains its elite freshness and length. Almost a 9.4.

Lovely pink/grey color. Nose is sawdust, pink grapefruit, sweet wood, barely any sweet wood but what is there makes a difference. Very refined and very subtle. Palate is insane. 1er Cru white burg level. Sappy and finesse driven with insane depth and purity. So classy. Concentrated and sapid. Long finish and insane balance. All stone fruits and grapefruit on the palate. Brilliant!

Showed odd and closed. Let’s see tonight. This was last night’s dinner wine.

Wow 9.1 to 9.3 overnight. Richly textured and so vivid. Almost tannic. Nutty and long. Brilliant.

This is an unreal wine. One of the best skin contact wines out there. What a color. Pink as a rose. But with a golden sheen. Color is never to be remarked on unless it is truly exceptional. That is the case with this wine. Nose is clean. Like Bounty clean. Amazing pink grapefruit. A lovely bitter element. So delicate and deep. Masterful. Palate is tangy and has so much sweet pink grapefruit and stunningly bracing minerality. Unreal clarity and purity. Endless finish. One of those 9.4’s that you question all night after why you didn’t give it a 9.5.

Lovely nose despite deceitfully rich gold color. Pears, smoke, spice, apple skin. Lovely. Some wet stones as well. Palate is textured and ripe but with wonderful juiciness. Great acids and cleanliness. Sappy and pure. Really nice. Complex mineral and acid driven finish.

Orange peel and apples and a whiff of smoke. Really floral with emergent notes of melon and quince. Palate is tart with such a silky texture and also a nice tannic grip. Mint, white pepper, and ginger come through on the finish. Crazy elegance, balance and length; love this wine.

Enjoyed the bottle over a week with no loss of awesomeness.

I’d drink a whole lot more Pinot Gris if there were more like this. Deep color suggests extended skin contact. Nose is so fresh and minerally, though there is nice fresh pear fruit and a hint of honey. The acids and minerality liven up the palate significantly. Long finish does a nice bell curve. Very individualistic!

Dark, old brassy color. But the nose is exceedingly fresh and lively for a Pinot Gris. Sweet apply and pear, a little fresh butter and lanolin. And flowers. So lively in the mouth too, with great acids and nice minerality. PG's can be cloying, but this is on the exact opposite end of the spectrum. Really well executed.
