Spectacular, and worked perfectly with teriyaki and pork chops. Mocha, pipe tobacco, black cherry, rich, and nice dusty tannins.

Deep concentration and color. Nose dark fruit dominated; blackberry, black plum, huckleberry. Tobacco, cigar, smoke and coffee tones. Palate shows more tart fruit, tobacco spice, mocha, and some iron. Begins to evolve more and more with air. 60% touriga nacional, 25% touriga franca, 10% tinto roriz, 5% tinta fracisca.

Portuguese excellence. Balanced plum, smoke, and herb. Not over the top plummy like port but has a great freshness elevated by a healthy amount of acid. Lovely wine that will be an excellent age-worthy example.
