Spectacular at the start. Plenty of fruit and acid. Began to fade after 30 minutes. Still pleasant but need to drink soon.

Perfumed nose of cola, bing cherry hints of nutmeg, cardamom and leather. Acid in this wine integrates well, giving it lift from the front to the back of the palate. Soft textured showing cashmere, sassafras and blueberry. Long supple finish. My favorite of the WS line up.

What a Friday group tasting put on by Dan! Killer wines. 1 sparkler, 3 whites, 5 reds, 1 dessert. All blind.
Back of my mind wanted to say Rochioli but I just couldn’t do it. Should have! Similar muddled raspberry profile, little bit more spice to it. More dark fruit too. Someone called it zin due to the fruit. Again, I called this a mid-2000s WS. Was on fire with my guesses today evidently.
