My first Sylvaner (?)….Great aromatics -saltwater taffy, endive, dehydrated green grapes. Light lime green/pale yellow in appearance; On palate some of that lime skin grated, more taffy & green apple. Super luxurious & fascinating texture- I wanted to chew & just experience it more. Full in the mouth. Dry but plump at same time. Balanced acid, not screechy or distracting. Quite giving too. What a cool wine, period.

Rich and interesting. Lovely fruit but tons of savory elements. I love this.

This producer does such a great job with Sylvaner. Sweet pea shoots, intense mineral, and some green apple fruit on the nose. The palate has a softness and depth that is unexpected for this grape, at least by me, with lovely mineral/ herbal flavors and nice acid. Lengthy finish shows a little bitterish note towards the end.

Heaven in a nose. Always this bottling slays me. Wet stone drops. Candied liquid minerals. So pure. So deep. Floral. Some kumqwat. Palate is superb and so deep with intense sweet lime minerality on the finish. So salty, also with that hit of Weltner opulence. Awesome length. Just so well made and juicy. There is a theme of spring mints as well that just echoes and is hinted at. Gorgeous. Super concentrated and so fresh. Insane inner mouth aromas. So long. The electricity and the acid balanced is unreal. Wow. This is a smoking young Schweinleite. Just epic.

Awesome nose. Sprite of spring! Herbals, vegetables, rocks, lanolin, so expressive. Lemon pith. Palate has insane energy and density while being light and fresh with tremendous sap and depth. So juicy and silky with a very long finish. Excellent balance. So so long.

I have now seen the Sylvaner 💡. What a nose! Deep, stony minerality, lime zest, crisp, just- ripe yellow orchard fruit. Intense but lithe and impeccably balanced. The finish is the most subtle zesty minerality ever. Salivating! Muscadet, but less severe. Sancerre, without the grass. German Riesling, but without the intense fruit.

Sick nose. So mineral. But also a sense of gras. Sugar snap peas, fresh herbs, saltiness, a sense of deepness. White pepper, some possible citrusy or vineyard peach but overwhelmed by mineral. The palate is extraordinary. It’s actually taken me aback how well this wine has done with the 2-4 years of aging. Wow does it have sap and extract for days. Long and mouth-coating on the finish. But it’s a mineral blizzard on the attack. What a wine. Just stunning. So crisp. So long. Outrageous showing.
