Weingut Robert Weil
Tradition Rheingau Riesling
This youthful wine is all primary fruit - petrol, wet stone, apple, pear, lime, white peach, apricot, honeysuckle, pineapple, wet stone and honey are all there. Where it is a little disjointed is in the sugar-acid balance. At 38 grams residual sugar it is quite sweet for a Kabinett and has screaming acidity for balance. The acid is like a slap in the face and holds the wine back, leaning a disjointed impression. Good quality.

Aug 13th, 2023Tasty! Approached tropical but doesn’t quite commit to it. I think i would have ranked it higher if it had.

Sep 12th, 2017Gold cap. Pineapples and peaches, spritzy but not overwhelming. Minerality all the way through. Swooning over this.
