Strange and beautiful and wild wine. Tons of botrytis and def some RS. Probably has hit hits peak already.

Corked...second off bottle of older Knoll in a row :( Bogus. And you can tell it would have been a great bottle...still getting some lovely peach, apricot, white pepper and spice

Super complicated wine to explain
Still has great freshness and minerality too

Hard to choose, but the acidity left on this vintage wins.

Funky and vegetal with great complexity...notes of ripe peach, nectarines, lemon tree and a touch of white pepper

Sledgehammer. Can't help but admire this for its boldness at almost 10. All the things, but I kinda wish there was a little more space in-between to appreciate each element more. Maybe just too young, but I wonder if it doesn't just get more muddy from here. Really enjoyable, but perplexing to try to figure out what the future holds.

Had it February 2008.
Tropical fruits, intense wet rocks scents. Little CO2 left that gives a fizz feeling when opened. On the palate there is a beautiful balance that will keep this wine together for decades. Outstanding wine👍

I prayed for great Grüner and my prayers were answered.
