The 2014 Jakob Schneider Hermannshohle trocken Magnus is gorgeous showing citrus-tinged spice, dried peaches crushed stone and pretty floral tones. On the palate, ripe stone fruit and citrus is kept in check by brisk, tongue-curling acidity and minerals. A note of bittersweet grapefruit and salty minerals linger on the finish adding tension. Wow!

Big boy MAGNUS big like a freakin' baseball bat. Big like 13% ABV and 1,000 volts of electricity in silvery gray green shades. Hovers indecisively for a second, then settles into intense sour citrus.
Delicate soft aromas of grapefruit, lime leaf and sage become crazy intense with tip of tongue acid, thick edges that suck your cheeks in tight.

Nose : powdery minerals gorgeous white flowers. Really gorgeous. So elegnat. 9.8 nose.

Weighty on the nose and on the palate. Would love to try in a few years but obviously good. Bit of petrol on the intense nose. Tons of acid and slatey minerality. Nice.
