Layers and layers of harmony. Violets, chocolate, plum, currants, cooked fruit and fresh hay on the nose. Notes of plum, cooked fruit, and smoke persist on the palate. Good balance with a delicious soft core and medium tannins. Drink for 5+ years out.

Pinot Noir from an excellent producer, 13.5%. Exceptional color, rich nose full of aromas. In the mouth the acidity is just right and the wine is very sophisticated. 85/100

Impressive but really big for a Pinot. More if i find a second bottle. For those in the know one of the Top 10 Pinot Specialists in Germany. These folks have their own oak forest.

This has improved considerably since my last tasting. Some barnyard on the nose when I opened the bottle and poured a glass but it dissipated to the background with air, making room for soft red fruits and spices. Gentle and quite silky on the palette, nice cherry fruit and just enough acidity to give it uplift and freshness. Soft tannins. Perhaps I would like a bit more complexity and some more depth in the mid palette and aftertaste but this is very enjoyable and I would buy again without a doubt.
