Von Schubert
Maximin Grünhauser Spätlese Riesling
Tasted blind. Dark gold, heavy in the glass. Crazy nose with notes of ripe apricot, petrol, burnt orange and slate. Less impactful in the mouth. Very light acidity and a thin finish. This was all about the nose. Good start to the night.

Sep 9th, 20181998 was for many producers a very challenging vintage but if they used good judgement and picked their grapes carefully some really excellent wines were made that have aged extremely well primarily due to a core of fine acidity--von Schubert's Abstberg Spätlese is hands down one of the great triumphs of that year! #KellerParty
