Maximin Grünhauser Abtsberg Kabinett Riesling
Trademark featherweight. A little funky with petrol, lanolin, and savoury tones on the nose. Still really energetic on the palate with laserlike precision and super salinity. Tought it was the weakest Grunhaus of the night, although KP and UBD begs to differ. Possible a weak bottle, but I think it was just because I never got around to retasting it during the night.

Oct 29th, 2019It's ridiculous how Grünhäus can always pack so much flavour in a wine, yet have it remain so light. Power of terrior if you ask me. Smoky, floral, yellow stone fruits, citrus zing, herbs, just pure electricity in the mouth. Long and fine finish. Another exemplary kabi from this legendary estate!

Sep 18th, 2019Deep gold color. Stone fruit nectar. Honey. Light petrol. Baked orchard fruits. This is drinking deliciously right now. Wish I had some soft cheese or pad Thai to pair it with. 8% alc. I got this for $6.50 in Kearney, Nebraska.
