The Rare Wine Co. Historic Series Madeira New York Malmsey

The Madeira New York Malmsey Special Reserve is a rich, heady wine. It offers gorgeous depth and layers that open beautifully in the glass. Dried flowers, cloves, fruitcake, leather, chocolate, cedar and tobacco are nicely amplified in this generous, inviting Madeira. All the elements are so well balanced. This is a stand-out. L22209. Really fun way to end the evening. Spiced caramel with nuts and toffee. Long exotic finish. Feel like this would be amazing on pancakes.

Sweet but alcoholic. Meh. Not as interesting as we'd hoped. But it did wash down desert handily

Syrupy sweet with dark notes of cherries and toasted almonds. Vanilla, molasses, and tobacco.

I remember when this was $30. 😢.
Not that long ago... still delicious but somehow more hollowed out than we remember.

Like a tawny port but spicier - goes well with persimmon pudding

Seattle... One of the white hats brings... Not bad at all; even though I did pour out my coffee and used the same cup for initial sip... So good, I actually got up to find a new clean glass... Good, good time... I feel like I should have signed an NA for some of the stories I heard...
