2019. I’m a fan of gamay but not this guy. Unripe cranberry, violet floralness, potting soil. High acidity. Mostly sourness. Not a lot of complexity and not a lot of flavors I like.

Light bodied, fresh and very floral on the nose. Flavors of Dr. Pepper, Iron and Earth. A bit too much on the iron, as it had some characteristics of drinking blood.

Blueberry pie filling and Dr. Pepper on the nose, with cinnamon, nutmeg, black cherries, and hints of freshly ground peppercorn filling out the bottom notes on the nose. Smooth and welcoming on the initial entry, with ripe cherries, juicy blueberries, and dark chocolate filling out the palate. Little short on the finish.

Good red fruit, high acid and just a bit of VA to keep it interesting. Great value for $20.
