Dancer’s Perrieres vines are sandwiched in between the great Roulot and Lafon, and his 2013 Perrieres is a stunner. There is so much depth to this wine and it’s about so much more than just reduction. It’s detailed, complex and layered with yellow fruit and stony minerals with superb density and inner mouth tension. It’s powerful and intense but its weight is so lifted and the freshness of the vintage keeps it impeccably well balanced. There is a line of pulsating acidity and exhilarating energy on the palate that leads to an explosively long finale.

Absolutely profound. Nose of wet stones ,fresh rain on those wet stones, some stank, white flowers, just an ethereal nose, a nose that you search for and search for. No fruit but that would ruin it. Perrieres perfume in full effect. The palate is perfection. You don't know what balance is until you've experienced this. It's perfect. There is a sweetness from not fruit. That's all I know. It's so mineral. It's deep, but all presented on spider silk. It's length is eternal. This is poetry in a bottle.
