Wet granite, coconut, balsamic, mushroom, and black cherry aromas and flavors. A little young; acidity is stark and needs a bit to mellow, or at least a good decanting. Well balanced, but lacks length and depth at this time.

Vanilla, moist earth, anis, and roses on the nose, a bit of dried plum, leather, and pencil lead on the palate. Grippy tannins and lush acidity, elegant, round and delicious overall!

Big, inky, some free acidity. Not as smooth as other brunello a, but still great

Friday night brunello! What a great vintage...ready right out of the bottle, but decanting ready is helping ease out the funk, and push forward the tart ripe fruit.

Spent about an hour in the decanter before Rodney almost nailed it. He guessed Chianti Classico

Sour cherry, raisin, fennel salami, and forest. On the palate, dried herbs, soy and caramel. M+ balanced. Beautiful wine. A great example of a brunello di montalcino.

Drink now. Perfectly aged tomatoes and dark fruit plums, and some burnished leather. Highly recommended.
