Quite forward and doesn't sustain. Not bad though and rather fun to have from mag, all the better because of the Waitrose generosity this year.

Well, it's an ordinary CC nose, with tart cherry fruit, roasted herbs and a faint whiff of oak. Just short of medium-bodied where unripe tannins and slightly diluted flavors leaves the finish clipped and boring.

Interesting harmonious nose of both ripe and dried fruits, baking spices, dark chocolate, and bee's wax; on the palate a nice structure of dusty tannins and medium-high acids and alcohol mix well with mostly red fruits and soft red jelly beans. Considering the price, this wine is a bargain.
