Nose is reticent but what is there is on the weedy side. There’s also some pungent minerality, with some nice cassis fruit struggling to peek through. Deep and savory in the mouth, with very nice acids keeping things youthful-feeling. Still a fair amount of very fine tannin. This reminds me of a good Listrac. Still has years to go.

This is fantastic. I could only imagine what it would be like in another 5 years or so.

Still tight and young. Nose reminds me of Napa Cabs from the 70s, with a weedy thing that accompanies tight cassis fruit. Graphite and gravel too. Tight in the mouth, with very good acids and lots of youthful but soft tannins. Give this at least 3-5 years. (Which is not to say it’s not very tasty now.)

Typical Cab elements, pepper, lead pencil and spice all around. Had a bottle of this about a year ago and this one is noticeably better. Will hold my other bottles and see. Visited the winery a few years ago. They offered us an excellent tasting.

Jun 2nd, 2023Very nice nose of blackberries, some other black fruits and a bit of pencil lead. The taste was smooth with complex fruit notes. Nice long finish, jeez what’s not to like. Visited the winery end of last century.

2015…the year she left me…the year I thought life was lost… 7 years later I taste the sweet, tannic flavor of this 2015 Cabernet and it brings me back to that fateful year. Ciao Maria, ti amo ancora

Interesting wine as it is a Tuscan Single varietal Cabernet Sauvignon. Beautiful aromas of red cherry, red currant, rose petals, tobacco and cedar. Pallet notes plum, cloves and coffee with a hint of dried herbs on the long finish. Tannins are light and chewy but not overwhelming. Nice balance. This wine is true to the grape’s French heritage but it is certainly very Tuscan.
