Valiano
Il Poggio Teo Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend
Semitransparent with loads of fruits. Small wiff of vanilla. Some tanine left. Finish is a typical chianti bite with rough edge.

Jan 11th, 2019Delicious, almost floral nose, and a round fruity taste with notes of liquorice, chocolate, thyme, nutmeg, and vanilla. Another Chianti with a good price-to-quality ratio.

Mar 10th, 2018Hello wine lovers!

Dark yet fresh. Ripe black cherry, the typical dried thyme aroma, a touch of tomato leaf. Definitely on the fruitier side of Chianti yet still fresh and quite elegant. Maybe the savoury side will emerge with age.
On the palate this is impeccably balanced (and this with 14.5% alc!). Very finely polished tannins, fresh juicy acidity, and enough fruit & savoury edges to fill this frame.
This is a very, very nice Chianti Classico. The bottle empties scarily fast!

Very classico: high acidity, a cherry and dark chocolate.

May 1st, 2021Cherry and almond, a very usual chianti nose, very inviting. The palate is made of a sheer acid backbone which shows the way. A good red fruit shining all along, a strong grip, some drying tannins and a very long fruity, almondy finish. That's an average chianti here which could benefit from another 5 years in bottle.

Dec 6th, 2019Not the best chianti classico I’ve ever had. But it was very good. Great with a spicy food. The nose and the palate: a sweet plum, a vanilla and a chocolate (but you have to wait for it a moment).
