This wine has aged gracefully, offering ruby color and a spice box of flavors.

Yet another tasty cheapy from the local co-op, made by a large co-op in Naoussa. Entry level xinomavro that hints at lightweight pinot or nebbiolo without being very similar to either. Fresh red fruit takes a backseat to fallen leaves and pine needles. Simple but pleasant. 🍂🌲

Fun stuff for the price. Lots of acidity and tannins plus a little bottle age = a red that flirts with the sense memories carved in my brain by Tempranillo or Nebbiolo. But ultimately it has its own quirky identity and rustic charm.

Huh…I really don’t know much about this varietal or region but it’s kinda thin, sharp, and prickly. No like. But I bet this would be awesome in a sangria!
