Joiser Kirschgarten Blaufränkisch
Gorgeous, as expected. Mulberry, kirsch and potato ash mix with a fantastic wet chalkboard minerality through a black tea stained finish.

Mar 18th, 2015Absolutely delicious. Complex, forest foor, mushrooms, delicate red ripe fruits. Velvety tannins, long finish. Worth every $

Jan 31st, 2014More elegant side of Blaufränkisch. Lacks the spice of Württemberg versions but instead shows a hard, flinty core that reminds of good Chambolle. Needed about an hour of air to open up. Great foresty nose.

Feb 17th, 2021Subdued aromatics of dark fruit and some dark chocolate & graphite. On the palate juicy and round... ripe black fruit and some herby, woody undertone. Lacks the iron streak some BF have. Not bad though. Not bad at all.

May 11th, 2019Really great stuff. Depth and complexity. Rivals classic burgundies, and barolos for that matter.
