Deep garnet; compelling nose of black fruits with violet, tobacco and mineral; palate is more black fruit and mineral, deep and juicy, finish is tannic and very long. Enjoyable tonight but if you’re young give is a decade or two. — 6 months ago
Bright & light. Weird Floral greens. Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cab Franc, Dornfelder/////////////

Very Beaujolais-like. Lots of juicy pomegranate, blueberry, cranberry, and a bit of grape. Rose and violet potpourri, vintage lipstick, crushed oyster shell minerality. Bright, lifted, and very pretty with subtle chalky tannins. (This review is for the 2019 Iruai Shasta-Cascade) — 6 years ago

limestone, tart cherries, blueberries, blackberries. anise, cedar, violet, rose, menthol. very fresh and fruit forward! — 5 years ago
some bic lighter and graphite on the nose, tiny bit of burnt orange peel. super-slick viscosity medium-medium-light feel, cranberry-skin quick dissolve to black stalk vegetation and a kind of cherry-pit bitterness that is really pleasant. has that racy edge of a pre-release pinot, the barrel-tasted variety, or a super fresh gamay, and so good with food. great acid to tannin ratio. happiness for half this table! there is one participant at this table for whom the acid veers toward overly tart :P......no judgement. parked one more for comparison in a year or two. — 6 years ago
